NELSON, Crystal, 37, of Ossineke, died March 23, 2023 at the U of M Medical Center in Ann Arbor. She is survived by her parents, Bill and Diane Nelson, her sister, Maggie (Richard) Wells, and her nephew, Beau Wells. Crystal has been taken for cremation with a celebration of her life to be held at a later date. A complete obituary will appear in a future edition of The Alpena News. PAGE, Beverly, 93, of Alpena, died on March 25, 2023. She is survived by her sons, James (Anne) of Rapid River, Michigan, and Robert (Belinda) of Alpena, three grandchildren, Kirsten (Joe), Kyla (Nick), Dustin (Lori), four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Judy was born Feb. 6, 1942 in Alpena, Michigan to the late Norman and Tillie (Doane) Dekett. She married Richard Ableidinger in August 1964. David (Dave) M. Amlotte, 74, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, March 25, 2023, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Dave was born Dec. 27, 1948, to the late Raymond and Anna (Romprey) Amlotte. He grew up among a large circle of brothers and friends playing pick-up baseball games and enjoying childhood adventures in Alpena. A 1967 graduate of Alpena High School, he was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and the Vietnam War where he served at the Christensen Barracks in Bindlach, Germany, and was honorably discharged in 1971. Murel Kenneth Cohoon, 94, of Hillman passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at his home. Murel was born Dec. 6, 1928, in Rust Township to the late Stephen and Anna (Eddy) Cohoon. On May 21, 1949, he married Lela Slight-Orcutt. She preceded him in death on Jan. 20, 2023. He worked at Pontiac Motors, retiring in 1980 after 35 years. Dana Lynn Fairbanks, 34, of Tampa, Florida, died unexpectedly at her home on March 22, 2023. Dana was born on Feb. 14, 1989, to Russell and Mary (DeGroot) Fairbanks in Rogers City, Michigan.
