KiAnn Kruttlin

KiAnn Kruttlin, 73, of Harrisville died on June 22, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alpena.

She was born on November 3, 1952, to Ted E. and Kelly J. (Cuyler) Kruttlin in Harrisville, where she was raised. She graduated from Alcona High School.

Ms. Kruttlin obtained degrees in speech therapy and athletic training from Central Michigan University. She graduated from Michigan State University with a Master of Science degree as a physician assistant. She worked for MSU in that capacity until she returned to Harrisville and began her career at Alcona Health Center.

She played softball for the Harrisville Hornets and enjoyed bike riding and cross country skiing. She was an avid reader and enjoyed drawing with pastels and charcoal.

Ms. Kruttlin enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved playing cards and organizing family activities. She was always up for a Kruttlin family “baseball” game.

One of Ms. Kruttlin’s passions was horses and horseback riding. She kept several horses over the years and loved spending time with them. She also loved dogs and had four that were special to her – Denver, Betty, Fanny and Dinah.

She truly loved her job and enjoyed taking care of patients. She recently retired after more than 30 years with Alcona Health Center.

She was very active in various groups and organizations including the Sprinkler Lake Education Center, the Harrisville Lions Club, Harrisville Business Association and the Old Timers Baseball Game committee.

Ms. Kruttlin is survived by two brothers, Dennis (Deb) Kruttlin of Harrisville and Teddy Kruttlin of Harrisville; one sister, Tina (Tom) Dewar of Harrisville; two nieces, Liz (Ryan Jacewicz) Kruttlin of Shelby, Mich. and Sarah (Ed) Hechlik of Lincoln; four nephews, Jon Kruttlin of Harrisville, Kyle (Lianna) Kruttlin of Alpena, Michael Dewar of New York City, N.Y. and Cuyler (Zaria) Dewar of Columbus, Ohio; and six great-nieces and great-nephews, Max Jacewicz, Lily Jacewicz, Edju Hechlik, Emma Hechlik, Addison Kruttlin and Harper Kruttlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, Keegan Kruttlin.

Visitation will be Friday, June 26, 2026, from 3:00 until 8:00 PM at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. Graveside services will be Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery, Harrisville. Rev. Lawrence Boks will officiate.
