Jeffrey Hart

Jeffrey Hart
Jeffrey Paul Hart was born June 3, 1974 at 5:35 p.m. in Alpena to Russell Hart and Beverly Crevier of Ossineke. From the beginning, Jeffrey carried quick wit, fierce generosity, and a warmth that filled every room. If someone stood alone, he made it his mission to connect them.
Jeffrey Hart passed away Monday, February 9, 2026 at 3:43 PM, surrounded by love, memories, friends, family, and chosen family. His passing was gentle. He is now at rest and free from pain.
At the center of his life was his husband, Steven Teets–his great love. Married August 9, 2014, they shared eleven years of marriage and many more devoted to building a life rooted in authenticity, resilience, laughter, and unwavering commitment.
Jeffrey and Steven were deeply involved in Michigan’s LGBTQIA+ community. They joined ICON Detroit Leather in April 2013 and Alumni’d in August 2023. Through mentorship, advocacy, and preparing titleholders for IML, Jeffrey helped others carry responsibility with “Hart,” shaping foundations that endure.
Professionally, Jeffrey served patients at A Comprehensive Dermatology alongside Dr. Zarka in Lapeer, Michigan. As a Mohs technologist treating skin cancer and as office manager, he brought skill, precision, and heartfelt compassion to every patient. He also supported Steven’s 35-year photography business, Somewhere in Time Photography, later transformed into a consignment shop in downtown Imlay City. Together they led direct sales teams for over 20 years, earning incentive trips through Partylite, Swiss Colony Occasions, Entertaining at Home, and Willow House. Excellence followed him.
At home, Jeffrey embraced growth, sobriety, accountability, and fearless love. He hosted dinners, organized benefits, cherished bonfires, and adored cuddling his Cocker-Doodle “Jaxx” (5 yrs), now reunited in spirit with his late Cava-Pooh “Bella” (14 yrs).
He is survived by his husband Steven Teets of Imlay City; sister Jennifer Domrase (Chad McNeal) of Ossineke; Mark Hart of Lewiston; nephews Mark (Nox) Doebler, Jacob Hart, Lane Domrase; niece Breanna Domrase; and great nieces Willow Kiiszewski and Nova Hart.
