Mary Kingsbury

Mary Sue Blanche Heringshausen was born on April 22, 1947, in Alpena, Michigan to the late Wilbur and Gladys (Brilinski) Heringshausen. Mary Sue was a lifelong resident of the community she cherished, later relocating to South Carolina while always carrying Alpena close to her heart.

A proud graduate of Alpena High School, Mary Sue was a member of the marching band. On June 19, 1965, she married the love of her life, Lanny Kingsbury. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1993. Mary Sue owned and operated the E-Z Way Party Store, where she became a positive influence to countless young people with her steady presence leaving a lasting mark on many. After retiring, Mary Sue embraced the joys of family life. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren, camping, gardening, and maintaining a beautiful home. In her later years, she and her dear friend Joyce Wallace became beloved fixtures of their neighborhood, sharing smiles and conversation on their golf cart adventures.

Those left to cherish and honor her memory include; her daughter, Annette Miller; her son, Earl (Shannon) Kingsbury; her four grandchildren, Lauren (William) Mesimer, Brett Miller, Kaitlyn Kingsbury, Lanny Kingsbury; and her lifelong friend, Anna Kelly; brothers, Dennis Heringshausen, Wayne Eloysky, and several nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family.

Mary Sue was preceded in death by sisters-in-law, Ernestine Heringshausen and Elenora Elowski.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bruce Michaud officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
