Priscilla A. Nensewitz

Priscilla A. Nensewitz

Priscilla A. Nensewitz, age 87 of Monroe, passed away Friday, Aug. 22, 2025 at the home of her daughter.

Born Nov. 21, 1937 in Posen, MI, Priscilla was the daughter of the late Julius and Leona (Klingshern) Greengtski. She graduated from Posen High School and attended Beauty School, becoming a licensed beautician. She opened her own business, the Turning Point Salon in Trenton, which she operated for over 30 years.

Priscilla was an active member of St. Patrick Church and School in Carleton. She volunteered for the Kindergarten class and helped with the annual church festivals for many years. She was a fantastic cook and baker. At Christmastime, she provided cookies to her clients for a whole week. Priscilla was an avid crochet “guru”, making tons of afghans for family and friends. She was also an avid Detroit Lions football fan, watching them whenever possible. Being with her grandchildren meant the most to her, especially attending any of their activities or sporting events.

Priscilla is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Robert) Sieb of Monroe and Paula Heihn of Huntsville, Arkansas; two sisters, Julie Soik and Barbara Chojnacki of Posen; seven grandchildren: Brad Scott, Craig Scott, Brandon Sieb, Brock Sieb, Chad Shipley, Cory Shipley, and Clay Shipley; and six great-grandchildren: Tanner Scott, Audra Scott, Adelyn Sieb, Brynley Sieb, Emery Sieb, and Maci Shipley.

In addition to her parents, Priscilla was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert R. Nensewitz in 2012; seven brothers: Gerald, Bob, Jim, Paul, Donald, Sylvester, and Tony Greengtski, and a sister, Betty Romel.

Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. until time of funeral at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27th at Bacarella Funeral Home. Rev. Fr. Michael Woroniewicz of Divine Grace Parish in Carleton will officiate. Private burial will occur at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Though her journey of the last four years wasn’t always easy, Priscilla never lost her spunk or sense of humor.

The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland Hospice for the loving care given to their mother. They also encourage memorial donations be given to Children With Hair Loss (a 501c3 nonprofit organization) located at 12776 Dixie Hwy. South Rockwood, MI 48179.
