THOMAS D. LEAVESLEY

Thomas D. Leavesley, 85, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Medilodge of Greenview.

Thomas, son of the late Thomas and Barbara (Irwin) Leavesley attended Alpena High School. He served in the United States Air Force during the early to middle 60’s. Thomas worked at Abitibi Price until retirement. His joy was in the carving and painting of the birds in our yard. He loved going fishing with his friend, Terry Rosbeck, on Black River. Thomas married Mary Warner in St. Ignace on Sept. 17, 1965.

Tom is survived by his wife, Mary; sister, Penny (Dwight) Reeves; brother, Gregory, both of Alabama; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, David, Kenneth, Rodger, Michael; sisters, Beverly, Joy, and Dawn.

A memorial gathering will take place Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Bannan Funeral Home from noon until the military honors at 2 p.m. by Alpena V.F.W. Post 2496.
