JAMES FREDERICK COLEMAN

James was born in Detroit on Dec. 19, 1938, to the late Frederick and Marion (Devereux) Coleman and married Paula Bushouse on May 7, 1966, in Portage, Michigan. They celebrated 59 years together last week. He served in the USAF and was honorably discharged. Jim was a member of the Alpena First United Methodist Church, Alpena Masonic Lodge-Hopper No. 199, Eastern Star-Alpena Chapter 341 and Lincoln Chapter 184. He enjoyed traveling and visiting family, but his favorite hobby was napping.

Surviving are his wife, Paula; son, Paul (Pamela) Coleman; granddaughter, Samantha Coleman; sister, Mary Kay Behrends.

Mr. Coleman was preceded in death by his daughter Laura Ann Coleman.

Memorial visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 1 p.m. until the time of the Masonic and Eastern Star Memorial Service at 3 p.m. Full military honors will follow by VFW Alpena Post 2496.
