MARIE THERESA LaBELLE

Marie peacefully departed this earth to join her husband Charlie in Heaven on June 23, 2024, surrounded by her kids.

Marie was born Marie Theresa Deachin in Ubly, on Oct. 28, 1936, to parents William and Agnes, and brother Jerry Deachin. She was raised in Ubly, and attended a school of nursing in Detroit and became an RN. She was a featured soloist in the renown Alabama Jubilees in Ubly during the 1950s. In 1959, she married Charlie LaBelle from Bad Axe. During the next several decades, she followed Charlie, living in Cadillac, Mason, Alpena, and East Tawas, where they retired. They wintered in Orange Beach, Ala. Marie was the mother of four children, whom she and her husband raised to become respected adults in their communities, and provided her with grand and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by Pete & Teri LaBelle of Hesperia, Cathy & Jim Liske of Zeeland, Pat LaBelle & Shirley Davis of Alpena, Joe & Dawn LaBelle of Bay City. Her grandchildren Mike, Calvin, Dana, Allison, Josh, Justin, Jarrod & Stephanie, and 15 great-grandchildren.
