JEROME ANTHONY GILMORE

Jerome Anthony Gilmore, 94, of Alpena, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at Medilodge of Alpena.

Jerome was born in Minneapolis, Minn. on Oct. 31, 1929, to the late Edward and Inga (Gunderson) Gilmore. He served and retired from the United States Army and Air Force. On March 15, 1957, he married Donna Jessen. She preceded him in death on Oct. 26, 2001. He enjoyed wood carving and was a founding member of the Thunder Bay Carving Club.

Jerry is survived by two sons, Steven Gilmore, Jack Gilmore; grandson, Eric (Mallory) Gilmore; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Gilmore was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Gilmore, James Gilmore; and eight brothers and sisters.

Memorial visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 4, from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at noon with Kim Olsen officiating.
