Gene Tunney Colby
COLBY, Gene Tunney, 94, of Alpena, died Friday, May 20, 2022, at Touch of County Care Home.
Surviving are his sister-in-law, Carolyn Colby; seven nieces and nephews, Thomas (Lisa) Colby, Larry Colby, Mary Hale, Linda (Foss Tyghe) Colby, Barbara Greene, Bob Greene, Meredith Smith; and close friends, Jackie and David Leavesley.
Memorial visitation will take place on Monday, June 6, 2022, at the Bannan Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Herb Kitzman officiating, followed by military honors by VFW Alpena Post 2496. Complete obituary will be announced by the Bannan Funeral Home in a future edition of the Alpena News.
