MATTHEW JAY GAGNON

On March 19, 1964, Matthew was born to Eugene and Grace (Grenkowicz) Gagnon in Alpena, Michigan. He graduated from AHS in 1982 and went on to college and became a self-employed handyman until he became too ill to work. Matt was well known in the community as a kind, caring person who loved helping all the kids with their projects. He always wanted to think and be positive. We will all remember Matt as a cheerful person that wanted everyone around him to be happy and healthy.

He is survived by his two loving daughters, Cirrae Lea and Ariana Jean, and their mother and his best friend, Chonda Geddert all of Hubbard Lake, Michigan, and his mother Grace Gagnon of Alpena, Michigan, three brothers, Glen Gagnon of Alpena, Michigan; Gary (Lori) Gagnon of Gladwin, Michigan, and Marty Gagnon of Alpena, Michigan, along with his niece and nephews, Tiffany, Craig, Christopher, Connor, Collin and Matthew.

Matt was preceded in death by his father Eugene Gagnon and his brother Terry Gagnon.

Family and friends will gather for Memorial Visitation on Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until the Memorial Service begins at 6 p.m. at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home with Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating.
