ARCHIE ALBERT BREGE

Archie was born on March 8, 1931 in Moltke Township, Michigan to the late Paul and Theresa (Schaedig) Brege. He served in the United States Army. On July 20, 1957, he married Deanna Joppich. Archie worked at Abitibi, retiring in 1992. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing baseball and loved nature.

Surviving are his wife, Dee; four children, Laura (James) Armantrout, Mark (Susan) Brege, Lisa (Robert) Casper, Lynn (fiance Tim Daoust) Talaska; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald (Norma) Brege; and sister, Ida Mae Morley.

Mr. Brege was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Coleen Brege; four brothers, Myron, Clayton, Clifford, and Darwin.

Memorial visitation will take place Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020 at Immanuel Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at noon with Rev. James Erickson officiating. Military honors will be accorded him by Alpena V.F.W. Post 2496. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
