DOUGLAS D. WINFIELD

Doug was born June 15, 1947 in Hillman to the late Ford and Eleanor (Quade) Winfield. He married the love of his life Glenna Leatzow on Oct. 4, 1975 at St. John Lutheran Church in Royston, Michigan.

Doug was a Merchant Marine for over 30 years, and as dedicated as he was to his work, he was dedicated all the more to his family. Doug was an avid woodworker, enjoyed watching high school sports, and attending his grandchildren’s events. He was loved by his dogs, especially Jake. Doug loved spending time with his family and was very proud of them. He will be dearly missed.

Doug is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Glenna, his four children, Kevin (Heather), Gregory (Heather), Kimberly (Brock) Timm, Jason (Amy), two siblings, Kenneth, Carol (Roy) Harold, nine grandchildren, and his sister-in-law Janet Winfield. He is preceded in death by both parents, his brother Roger, and his sister Linda.

Family will receive friends at St. John Lutheran Church in Royston on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2020 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jason Manley officiating.
