HELEN S. DETLOFF
Helen S. (Swartzinski) Detloff, age 86, of Alpena, Michigan passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, July 23, 2020.
She was born on May 15, 1934, in Ossineke, Michigan to the late Joseph and Sophie (Lange) Swartzinski. Helen was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church of All Saints Parish and Ladies Sodality. She married Francis Detloff on Oct. 30, 1971, at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Helen was a house maid at Alpena General Hospital for 27 years and retired in 2005.
Helen is survived by her husband Francis Detloff of Alpena, Michigan; two sisters, Celia Anderson, and Rose Bushey; two brothers, Joseph (Marion) Swartzinski, and Leonard Swartzinski. Along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Regina Werda and Lorraine Taylor; two brothers: Julius and Michael Swartzinski.
Private family Committal Services were held at Holy Cross Cemetery with Fr. Fitzpatrick officiating.
