SUSAN NOWICKI

On Jan. 16, 1947, Susan was born to the late Harlan and Gladys (Carter) Piechan in Sacramento, California. Susan married Robert Nowicki on Oct. 10, 1970, he preceded her in death on July 30, 2019. She worked as a teller for First Federal Bank and later as a secretary and a teacher’s aide for St. Anne Catholic School, Alpena Public Schools, and the Alpena Community College. She enjoyed spending her time in tending to her flowers and watching the birds.

She is survived by her two children Kathleen (Court) Fleming, of Rogers City, Michigan and David (Sara) Nowicki, of Posen, Michigan; three grandchildren: Rebecca Fleming, Robert Nowicki, and Shawn Nowicki.

Susan was preceded in death by her infant sister Colleen and one brother: James Piechan.

Per her wishes Susan has been taken from the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home for Cremation. A Graveside Committal Service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery with Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating.
