WILLIAM NELSON CARR

William was born in Alpena Township to the late Nelson and Norma Carr on Nov. 28, 1948. He spent the majority of his life in Alpena, Midland, and Burton, Michigan and ultimately settled in Gladwin. Bill started his career in banking, moved into automotive sales, and transitioned to industrial sales for 23 years with Mid State Bolt and Screw. He retired at the end of 2019 and spent his last remaining months in Bradenton, Florida. He enjoyed home improvement, reading, and history.

Surviving are brother, Bob Carr (DeLynn), and sister, Cheryl Christensen (Arnold); two sons, Jon Carr (Annie), Chris Carr; granddaughter, Emily Carr.

William Carr was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Norma Carr, Mary Carr (stepmother), Jere Carr and Michael Carr (brothers), and Meghan Carr (daughter).

We will be holding a celebration of life at a later date in Michigan for friends and family.
