He is survived by his daughter, Karen (Gerald) Abee, of Greenbush, his son, Michael (Jamie), of Lapeer, a sister, Betty (Rein) Brueggeman, of South Carolina, a brother, Robert, of Lincoln, four grandchildren, Marcus, Matthew, Joshua, and Zachary, his brother-in-law, William Cordes, and his sister-in-law, Brenda Cordes.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Oscoda. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Timothy Azaam will officiate. A luncheon will follow after the service. Memorial donations suggested to Hospice of Michigan or Trinity Lutheran Church, Oscoda. Cremation arrangements were made to Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
