THEODORE WILLIS LANCASTER

Theodore Willis Lancaster, 54, of Alpena passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Medilodge Alpena following a long courageous battle with MS.

Ted was born April 4, 1965 in Alpena to John and Dorothy (Kennedy) Lancaster. He was a lifelong resident of the Alpena area. Ted enlisted in the U.S. Army shortly after High School. He worked as steelworker for many years before the MS became too difficult for him to continue. Ted was a very loving person and would do anything for anyone. He had many special friends who would refer to him as “uncle Ted.” Before the MS set in Ted enjoyed fishing and once remarked that he and Jesus would have been good friends as they were both fishermen. Ted’s caring personality and loving spirit will be deeply missed.

Ted is survived by his parents Dorothy and Peter Peterson, three sisters; Kim Lancaster, Stacey Lancaster, Janene Lovelace, three nieces; Kristina Pearce, Jonelle Lancaster, Emelia Lovelace, a nephew Eli Lovelace, and many of his special friends and extended family. He is preceded in death by his father John, and his sister Debra Hoeft.

Ted has been taken for cremation with a celebration of life to be announced in a future edition of The Alpena News. The family would like to extend a very warm thank you to all the caring staff at Medilodge Alpena and the nurses of Hospice of Michigan who became family to Ted. Arrangements are in care of McWilliams Funeral Home. Online condolences can be registered at www.mcwilliamsfh.com
