JAMES WILLIAM MULVENA

James was raised and grew up in Alpena and graduated from Alpena High School. His love for the Lord was evident as he loved reading scripture and could often be found studying God’s word. Some of his other interests included boating, taking walks, doing puzzles, visiting the Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie, and sailing (especially in rough waters). James was a quiet person but when he did speak it was often a profound word that you would incline your ear to. His gentle spirit will be dearly missed.

James is survived by five brothers: Arthur, Archie, Jesse (Paula), Mark (Pat) and Charles (Josephina) Mulvena; and three sisters: Susan Mulvena, Linda (Pat) Thompson, Rose Mulvena; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, M. Milton Mulvena and Florence (Frieburger) Briley, his Uncle David Mulvena and Aunt Dorothy (Mulvena) Bradley.

A celebration of James life will take place at Wolf Creek Park on Sat. June 29, 2019 at 1 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to McWilliams Funeral Home. Online condolences can be registered at www.mcwilliamsfh.com.
