LOIS EVELYN DOOLEY

Lois Evelyn Dooley, nee Knapp, a longtime Alpena resident, passed away on May 5, 2019, at age 93. Lois was born in Roscommon in 1925. In 1945 she married Gene Dooley, a longtime radio engineer and personality on WATZ, and they had two sons, Gene and John. Her two sisters, Thelma and Orissa, and her two brothers, Lawton and Dan, preceded her in death. Lois had a long career with Fuelgas, and in retirement enjoyed bowling, cards, and reading. In 2013, Lois moved to the Chicago area to live with her son, Gene. Lois will be dearly missed by her two sons, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and friends. A memorial will be held in Illinois for the immediate family.
