Shirline Beverly Liske, 87, of Alpena passed away peacefully in the hands of her Lord Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 at Turning Brook.

Shirline Beverly Manning was born May 3, 1931 in Alpena to the late St. Clair and Hazel (Dougherty) Manning. On Jan. 19, 1951, she married Donald Liske. She was an active member of Word of Life Baptist Church, church choir, taught Sunday school, and the Gideons International Auxiliary. She worked beside her husband, Don, in business, farming, and ministry.

Surviving are her husband, Donald; daughter, Sandra (Robert) Gibbs of Petoskey; two sons, John (Denise) Liske of Texas, James (Cathy) Liske of Holland; seven grandchildren, Shelby (Paul) Gibbs-Baldwin, Shasta (Jacob) Good, Samantha (Adam) Vargo, Jered (Jennie) Liske, Jay (Shelby) Liske, Allison (Colin) Boevers, Joshua (Jennie) Liske; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Dolores) Manning of Fairview; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Manning and JoAnn Manning.

Mrs. Liske was preceded in death by her sister, Georgina Carpenter; and four brothers, James Manning, Ralph Manning, William Manning, Hughie Manning.

Visitation will take place Wednesday at the Bannan Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. and continue Thursday at Word of Life Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Scott Joy officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
