BARBARA ANN DIAMOND

Barbara Ann Oliver was born March 23, 1926 in Alpena to the late Merville and Gladys (Bloom) Oliver. On Dec. 7, 1950 she married Clair Diamond. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2013. She worked as a registered nurse. Barbara was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ. She played piano her lifetime and taught for many years. Barbara enjoyed her fellow musicians with the Alpena Civic Orchestra.

Barbara was a wonderful wife and mother. Surviving are her two children, Blair Diamond, Ann Diamond; brothers-in-law, Mark Diamond, Dennis (Genie) Diamond; her loving nieces and nephews; and special cousin, Alison “Susie” (Dan) Bloom-Storey.

Mrs. Diamond was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Broers; and infant brother, John.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday at Bannan Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. and continue Thursday at First Congregational United Church of Christ from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Paul Lance officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
