BARBARA LEE KNOTTS

Barbara White was born Dec. 19, 1938, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Harvey and Viola (Coughlin) White. On April 18, 1975, she married James D. Knotts. He preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2012. Barbara owned and operated Alpena Outdoor Center, retiring in 1996. She was a former member of Alpena Eagles and Red Hat Society.

Surviving are her nine children, Cathy (Harry) Sutton, Michael (Cindy) Bellenir, Cynthia (DJ) Spiekerman, Richard Bellenir, Ronald (Roseann) Bellenir, Donald (Michelle) Knotts, Robert Knotts, Carl (Cara) Knotts, David (Audrey) Knotts; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Knotts was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Bellenir; and sister, Patricia Demerjian.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Monday from 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 3 p.m. with Sister Mary Hughes officiating.

Interment: King Settlement Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena Cancer Center.
