RICHARD GALLAGHER
Richard Gallagher, age 86 of Rogers City, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, surrounded by family in St. Helen. Richard was born on Aug. 24, 1931, to Frank and Irene Gallagher in Newark, N.J. Richard has lived in Roger City for 25 years, formerly of Brownstown, Mich. Richard worked for Taylor Supply and US Steel for 30 years. He was a member of the Teamster local #247 and the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Richard loved dogs and birds, especially parrots.
Richard is survived by sons, Richard Gallagher of St. Helen, Daniel (Cindy) Gallagher of Lincoln, Mich.; daughters, Rebecca Gallagher of New Boston, Mich., Christine Ruskin of Akin, S.C.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Patricia Sherrill of Carleton, Mich., and Charlotte (George) Gillen of Southgate, Mich. He is preceded in death by wife, Ruth Gallagher in 2005 and brother-in-law, Bo Sherrill.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
