BATES, Gary Albert, 65, of Spruce died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2016, at MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena.
He is survived by his children, Gary Jr. (Amy), Dawn Gay, Kyler (Amanda); 10 grandchildren; fiancee, Patti Aronson; four siblings, James (Karen) Hawkins, Janet Dill, Linda (Peter) Rasmussen, and Leonard.
Memorial visitation will take place at First United Methodist Church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Susan Platt officiating. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
