BRADLEY J. LEWIS

Bradley J. Lewis DC, DNBHE, age 68; Date of birth: April 13, 1949; Date of passing: Oct. 24, 2017, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Midland, Mich. Brad was born in Brown City Mich., to Jack and Donna Lewis, oldest brother of three boys. He grew up in Capac and Davison, Mich., where he made many lifelong friendships. Brad served in Vietnam from 1970-1971 and upon returning pursued a Doctor of Chiropractic at National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Ill., later becoming a Homeopathic Practitioner. Brad practiced Chiropractic and Homeopathy in Crystal Lake, Ill., for 32 years. He was dedicated to helping his patients and counseling those who returned from military service. Dr. Lewis was a member of the Illinois Chiropractic Society, Crystal Lake, Ill., Rotary Club and the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce. Even in his passing he continued to give by donating to Gift of Life so others could live on. Beyond his practice he had a passion for trap shooting (McHenry Gun Club and P.K. Fletcher Gun Club), was an avid reader and had a knack for crossword puzzles that he made a daily routine. Brad is survived by his wife Carol (Hintz) Lewis of 47 years; son Benjamin Lewis; and daughter Heidi Lewis; mother Donna B. (Ketchabaw) Lewis; brothers Brian (Shirley) and Jack (Rik England) Lewis; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Jack H. Lewis in 2007. He was blessed with many wonderful friends. A celebration of life will be announced. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
