Music at the library: Old songs for new people

ALPENA - On June 11, from 2-3 p.m. at the Alpena County Library, Ben Traverse will play songs our parents’ parents’ parents sang while growing up. There will be play parties, game songs, sing-alongs, and more. Through this program, participants will not only enjoy the music but will also learn about the historical and cultural contexts under which the music came into this world. Open to all ages.
