Alpena stump grinding

ALPENA - The City of Alpena’s stump grinding contractor will begin grinding stumps this week. These tree stumps are within the city’s right-of-way, and the trees were removed by the city. Please be aware that stump grinding can generate high levels of noise during equipment operations and traffic shifts may be necessary at some locations due to stump sizes. We anticipate the work to last through late fall.

Rogers City planning meeting

Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel to meet

ALPENA — The Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) will hold its first meeting on Sept. 10 at the First United Methodist Church on Ripley Boulevard in Alpena at noon.
