Alpena County Road Commission receives award

Late last month, the Alpena County Road Commission received the “Goose Egg Award” for having zero reportable workers’ compensation losses during the last 12 months. The award was announced at the County Road Association Self-Insurance Fund’s (CRASIF) Annual Membership meeting in Bay City on Sept. 23.

“Zero workers’ compensation losses in our industry over a 12-month period is phenomenal!” said Joyce Porter, fund administrator. “Regarding the unique name of the award, we had to come up with an eye-catching name for the award since it is a unique achievement.”

CRASIF is a Michigan based self-insured group fund that provides disability management and workers’ compensation to 72 road commissions.
