Alpena native and Boulder, Colorado, resident Kevin Konczak won the 2025 Ironman 70.3 North American Championship on Saturday, May 17, in St. George, Utah, for the M55-59 age group in a time of 4:35:37.

This is the second Ironman 70.3 North American title he has won, winning the division by nearly 13 minutes. He won the M50-54 back in 2023.

Konczak was ninth out of the swim, and combined the second fastest bike split with the second fastest run split to convincingly move into first place by mile four of the half marathon portion. Konczak placed ahead of all the younger men’s 50-54 and 45-49 age groups, as well.

There were nearly 2,500 athletes competing from all over the world.

Ironman’s 70.3 Distance combines 1.2 miles of swimming, 56 miles of cycling, and a 13.1-mile run. For more results, visit ironman.com.
