ALPENA — According to a press release by Alpena Public Schools, Alpena Early College Cohort 8, led by Early College Coordinator Laurie Nugent, had another year of excellent results.

Forty-three students successfully completed the program earlier this May with more than half also graduating from Alpena Community College.

Twenty-two students earned associate degrees and one earned a professional certification. This outstanding group averaged 55 credits earned per student and also completed just under 9,600 hours of community service and career exploration hours.
