The project will happen in phases and could wrap up in August. Until then, motorists will have to find alternate routes around the construction.

On Monday, May 6, the intersection at North 2nd Avenue and Miller Street will be closed to all through traffic. Additionally, the block between Lake Street and Clark Street will be closed to all traffic. However, the intersections of 2nd Avenue and Lake Street as well as 2nd Avenue and Clark Street will remain open to cross traffic.

Signage and barricades will be present to guide traffic around the construction site, but motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and remember the heavy pedestrian traffic on Lake Street and Clark Street around Lincoln Elementary School.
