The Northeast Michigan Materials Management Authority board met at the Carter Township of Alpena on Thursday morning.

The board discussed:

∫ preparations for its Clean Up Days in May and June at the Northern Lights Arena.

∫ an update on the new recycling truck, with an official stating that the process is going faster than predicted and it should come in later in the spring.

∫ moving next month’s meeting date to April 18 rather than the original date of April 25.

∫ updates on recycling bins, noting that there are now bins for all plastic and small metal, all cardboard bins, and bins for paper, cardboard, and plastics.
