Friday is Conservation Officer Appreciation Day

Gov. Whitmer proclaimed Friday as Conservation Officer Appreciation Day for the 250 men and women of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources who patrol all 83 counties in the state. Conservation officers are fully licensed law enforcement officers who uphold the state’s laws that protect natural resources such as fish, wildlife, state parks, forests, rivers, and the people who enjoy these resources.
