Alpena first responders remove a man from his vehicle after it was involved in a two-car crash at the intersection of Miller Street and Walnut Street today.

The Alpena police and fire department responded to the wreck at about 12:30 p.m. on Monday.

A truck crashed into the side of a car, which caused the airbag on the passenger’s side of the car to deploy.

The driver of the car was taken on a gurney into an ambulance for a medical examination. The passengers in the truck appeared to be unhurt while talking to police.

The extent of the injuries, if any, is not known at this time.

Both vehicles were removed from the roadway at about 1:02 p.m.
