Alpena hospital raised more than $15K

More than 150 Northeast Michigan community members raised over $15,000 at a dinner event called Doctors Without Orders for MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena's new emergency percutaneous coronary interventions program for heart attack patients.

To continue offering the service, a Certificate of Need from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services requires that the hospital successfully completes 36 ST-elevation myocardial infarctions within a one-year time period, which started in October 2023.
