Northland Area Federal Credit Union has announced the introduction of its newest financial tool to help educate kids about money.
Mascot Buck E. Bigfoot is a fun character from whom kids of many ages will enjoy learning new money skills. He’ll be joined by woodland friends.
Northland also has published a coloring and activity book that has more information about the history of Northland and includes Buck E. on many of the pages.
“We’ve seen such a positive response to our use of sasquatch in our advertising, it made sense to develop something for the younger sector of our members,” said Matt Duthler, assistant vice president of marketing at Northland. “Buck E. Bigfoot will be a great addition to the current financial education we provide many schools and students.”
More information can be found on Buck E. and his origins at northlandcu.com/buckebigfoot or by stopping at a Northland branch and requesting a free coloring book.
Northland started off on Wurtsmith Air Force base in Oscoda with just a few members and less than $100 collectively. Today, Northland is rapidly approaching $700 million in assets, is 100% member-owned, and serves more than 44,000 members.
Northland will soon have its 17th location when Kalkaska, with plans to open in 2023. For more information, visit northlandcu.com.
