Alpena — Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union (AAACU) recently announced the recipients of the 2026 William S. Moors Scholarship.

The $1000.00 William S. Moors scholarship, created in memory of past President and Board Member of AAACU, is awarded each year to a credit union team member who is attempting to better themselves personally and professionally in a college degree program that could eventually lead to an area of credit union management at AAACU or in the credit union industry.

The credit union announced two recipients this year, team members Sarah Battice and Alison Jakubcin. Sarah and Alison are both currently working towards Masters of Business Administration, with Sarah pursuing her degree at American Public University and Alison pursuing her degree through Northwood University.
