Alpena Public Schools has released a list of upcoming important information and events that will help students and parents alike prepare for the 2023/2024 school year.

∫ Supply lists by grade and school for K-8 will be provided by email, website, and social media.

∫ Families of high schoolers are encouraged to purchase universal basics such as pens, pencils, binders, folders, etc.

∫ On Aug. 14, Chromebooks for sixth graders and new students are available for pick up at APS Central Office, 2373 Gordon Rd.

∫ On Aug. 21, Student schedules (6-12) and teacher assignments (K-5) will be made available in ParentVUE/StudentVUE after 4 p.m.

∫ On Aug. 23, K-5 grade schools will have their open houses from 5 to 7 p.m.

∫ On Aug. 23, 6-12 grade schools will have their open houses from 4 to 6 p.m.

∫ On Aug. 23, sixth graders and new students at Thunder Bay Junior High will have their orientation from 1 to 3 p.m.

∫ On Aug. 23, ninth graders and new students at Alpena High School will have their orientation from 1 to 3 p.m. with a Freshman Bash from 3 to 5:30 p.m., and a freshman parent meeting from 6 to 7 p.m.

∫ On Sep. 6, a senior parent meeting will be held in the AHS auditorium at 5:30 p.m.
