Ossineke man arrested for child abuse
A 41-year-old Ossineke man was arraigned in Alpena’s 88th District Court on March 24 on one count child abuse second degree.
The man was arrested at home on March 23 after a child alleged the man choked him.
The mother of the alleged victim called police and Emergency Medical Services on March 19 after returning home from work that day and finding marks on their child’s neck. The alleged victim was later transported to the hospital for evaluation.
During an interview with the child at the Alpena Child Advocacy Center, they alleged their injuries of the man choking him.
The man’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 18 and he was given a $10,000, 10% bond.
