Alpena County 2023 Youth and Recreation grant applications are now available on the county’s website. All grants approved will be for Alpena County recreational activities and any recreational site development or improvement. Deadline to apply will be 4 p.m. on May 2. Approvals will be contingent on the approval of the Youth and Recreation millage on Aug. 2.

A pre-deadline workshop will be held on April 7 at 7 p.m. at the APlex. This is an opportunity to have committee members review grant requests and give suggestions to applicants before they are officially submitted. A grant application need not be completed before the workshop. All applicants are invited and new applicants are encouraged to attend.
