Alpena wrestler Mason Bray finishes fourth to return to state finals
Courtesy Photo Alpena’s Mason Bray (171) finished fourth on Saturday in a Division 1 wrestling regional to qualify for the state finals on March 4-5. Bray (pictured left) defeated Utica’s Bradley Mayse in the first round 10-5, then lost to John Hine 13-3. In the consolation rounds, Bray defeated Rochester Adams’ Tanner Buck 6-4 and then lost Aiden Criteser 4-3 in the consolation final to finish fourth. Bray will wrestle in his second consecutive state finals. Last year he wrestled two matches in the 160-pound weight class.
