Possible virus exposure sites announced

ALPENA — Possible coronavirus exposure at five local businesses has health officials cautioning residents to be on the lookout for symptoms as positive test numbers inch upward.

Members of the public may have come into contact with an individual or individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 at the following locations:

Charlie O’s Pizza, Hillman, from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 30

Hunan Chinese Restaurant, Alpena, from noon to 1 p.m. Aug. 31

Wood Winds Restaurant, Onaway, from 5 to 6 p.m. Sept. 3

Dollar General, Hillman, from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 4

Pizza Hut, Alpena, from noon to 1 p.m. Sept 5

People who may have been exposed should monitor for symptoms consistent with COVID-19 and report any symptoms to a doctor, district health officials said.

Meanwhile, one more Presque Isle County resident, one more Montmorency County resident, and two more Alcona County residents were reported infected today.

Now 183 Northeast Michiganders have been reported infected, 153 of whom have recovered and 17 of whom have died since the virus hit Michigan in mid-March.
