One positive among 20 tested Alcona County residents

ALPENA — One Alcona County resident tested positive for coronavirus since Monday, health officials said, but everything else kept to the status quo in Northeast Michigan.
Now 36 Alcona County residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since the virus hit Michigan in mid-March. Elsewhere, 25 Presque Isle County residents, 14 Montmorency County residents, and 127 Alpena County residents have tested positive since March.
No new recoveries or deaths among area residents infected with COVID-19 were reported today.
Statewide, 123,633 people have tested positive, of whom 95,051 have recovered as of Friday, and 6,751 have died after testing positive for the virus.
Other Northeast Michigan numbers, updated today:
Deaths: Alpena County residents, 14; Presque Isle County residents, one; Montmorency County residents, zero; Alcona County residents, two.
Recoveries: Alpena County residents, 106; Presque Isle County residents, 19; Montmorency County residents, 11; Alcona County residents, 24.
Tests reported since Monday’s update: Alpena County residents, 56; Presque Isle County residents, eight; Montmorency County residents, five; Alcona County residents, 20.
