Local school board Roundup: Construction continues at Pied Piper

Recent actions by local boards of education:

∫ The Onaway Area Community Schools Board of Education hired Edward Zalucki-Nash as a custodian for its K-12 building, replacing a custodian who resigned.

∫ Alpena-Montmorency-Alcona Educational Service District Superintendent Scott Reynolds said in his report to his board that construction continues at Pied Piper School, although the building was ready for opening day and work there will be ongoing.

Reynolds said Eagle Supply Co. deep-cleaned the building from Aug. 28 to 30, prior to the first day of school. He said the company is also cleaning the school two days a week to support staff cleaning efforts.
