One more Alpena County resident, three Alcona County residents, infected

ALPENA — Today, Northeast Michigan public health officials reported one more Alpena County resident and three more Alcona County residents have been infected with the coronavirus.

The new cases push the number of people who have contracted the illness since mid-March to 95 Alpena County residents, 76 of whom have recovered. Seventeen Alcona County residents have been infected with the coronavirus, two of whom have recovered.

There was no change to the number of Presque Isle County (11) and Montmorency County (five) residents infected. All of those residents have recovered.

There are 61 confirmed cases of COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, at MediLodge of Alpena, one case at MediLodge of Rogers City, according to the state.

Statewide, there are 57,532 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 5,516 deaths.
