Jan. 6

5:38 p.m.: A one vehicle slide off was reported by a passerby, MCSO deputies responded to find the driver to be intoxicated, he was taken to the hospital for evaluation then transported to MCSO jail to be lodged on OWI charges.

6:00 p.m.: A snowmobile traveling at a high rate of speed on Airport Rd was reported to the sheriff’s department; an officer responded but was unable to locate the snowmobiler.

6:56 p.m.: OnStar called in a vehicle crash alert; officers responded but no vehicle was able to be located.

Jan. 7

7:28 a.m.: A log truck lost part of its load in Montmorency Township, no injuries were reported, officers responded for traffic control.

Jan. 8

4:41 p.m.: A tree that fell on the power line was reported; Fire responded just to check things out and PIG&G was notified.

6:28 p.m.: MCSO was advised of a domestic dispute. It was advised that the male half left the residence. A deputy and a trooper responded to attempt to locate the male. The deputy spoke with the male half on the phone and advised him to stay away from the female for the night.

Jan. 9

11:12 a.m.: A MCSO deputy went to Lewiston to attempt to locate a female who had a warrant out of another jurisdiction; she was located and taken into custody; transported to the county line.

11:58 a.m.: A male subject in Briley Township was taken into custody and lodged for failure to register as a Sex Offender.

4:34 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of an erratic driver on M-32 traveling West and then turned into Hillman. All units were advised but no units in the area to intercept the vehicle.

9:40 p.m.: A noise complaint was reported at the Elizabeth St apartments in Hillman. MCSO Deputies responded; A male subject was given a verbal warning.

10:39 p.m.: A report of several gunshots in the Pine Oaks Subdivision in Hillman Township. MCSO deputy responded and no gunshots were heard.

Jan. 10

7:58 a.m.: A commercial burglar alarm was reported at the Dollar General in Albert Township. Deputies responded to find one of the employees accidentally set it off.

11:41 a.m.: A deputy stopped on M-32 near Reimann Rd in Briley Township with a vehicle that lost a tire. No injuries were reported, and a tow truck was called to remove the vehicle from blocking the road.

12:29 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a verbal dispute at VanPamel’s Diner in the Village of Hillman. Deputies responded to investigate, and the issue was resolved.

3:09 p.m.: A 2-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of State St and Veterans Memorial Hwy in the Village of Hillman. Fire and law enforcement responded. No injuries were reported.

Jan. 11

2:35 a.m.: A deputy initiated a routine traffic stop on Co Rd 487 near McMurphy Rd in Avery Township. A 49-year-old female was taken into custody for OWI. She was lodged.

8:00 a.m.: A trooper transported a 38-year-old male from Alpena Co to MCSO jail with a MCSO warrant. He was lodged.

7:34 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of an erratic driver on Pleasant Valley Rd in Hillman Township. It was said that the vehicle hit a few mailboxes. All units were advised to keep an eye out for the vehicle described.

7:36 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a single vehicle slide off on Meridian Line Rd near Co Rd 612 in Albert Township. No injury or damage was reported.

11:57 p.m.: A deputy responded to a domestic situation on Doty St in Briley Township. A 28-year-old male was taken into custody for conditional bond violation. He was lodged.

Jan. 12

10:16 a.m.: Dispatch was advised of a commercial burglar alarm on Mantz St in Albert Township. A conservation officer responded to find someone had stopped to use the bathroom and accidentally set off the alarm.
