A Rogers City man is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old Harrisville girl in October after they met on Facebook, the Michigan State Police said.

Alexander Bidlake, 25, was arrested April 10 after an investigation by the MSP-Alpena Post. According to a press release, Bidlake picked up the alleged victim at her home and drove her to his house in Rogers City, where he sexually assaulted her.

The victim, who had been reported missing by her parents, was driven home later that night. She later disclosed the incident to a mandated reporter, who told the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services of the allegations.

Bidlake was charged with one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. He was arraigned in the 89th District Court on April 11 and is lodged in the Presque Isle County jail.
