The following businesses sent the following news releases announcing closure because of the weather:

* Due to the weather all Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium offices will be closing at 1pm today. This includes Cheboygan, Onaway, Alpena, Gaylord, and Grayling service centers. It is anticipated that we will resume normal office hours tomorrow, January 29th.

* Due to the current weather conditions, City Hall and all city offices will be closing at noon today, January 28, 2019. We will reopen tomorrow for regularly operating hours at 8:00 a.m.

Fire, police, and public works employees will remain on duty for the well-being of the community.

* Good morning, Snow Day open skate today at 11:30 is cancelled. The walking track is closed for today. We will monitor the weather & make an announcement about evening activities later today.Northern Lights Arena will be closed today.

* As a result of today’s winter storm, many MidMichigan Health provider offices and outpatient services, including urgent care, X-ray and lab are now closed or will be closing early. Those with a pre-scheduled appointment today or tomorrow are encouraged to call ahead first before traveling. Visiting hours at MidMichigan Medical Centers in Alma, Alpena, Clare, Gladwin, Midland and West Branch remain the same. For medical emergencies, please go to the nearest Emergency Department if safe travel permits or dial 911.
