Denise Borchard, left, and Tina Cady, of the Alpena H&R Block, were named among H&R Block’s top-100 franchisees, the tax preparation agency said in a news release.

The award recognizes individual franchisees who have shown leadership traits, service to their community and who do the right thing for their clients. Those who are recognized were chosen for their outstanding business performance.
